my laptop has a slot for SIM I have inserted SIM but it is not working  what should I do to solve this issue

Hi:

 

All 8470p's have SIM card slots.

 

What 90% of them don't have is the required mobile broadband wireless adapter (WWAN) that connects to the cellular service.

 

In order for the SIM card to work, your notebook must have one of these WWAN adapters present in the Device Manager under the Network Adapters category...
