HP Envy 13-ba0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought this laptop 2 weeks ago and had a strange issue where the wifi was being incredibly slow (was on a 30Mbps connection as measured by another device, but this laptop was only showing between 0.7 - 4Mbps). I have tried a variety of things, including troubleshooters, manually reinstalling drivers, updating, even reinstalling Windows. Oddly, the solution was forcing the wifi adaptor to prefer the 2.4GHz band.

The 5GHz band continues to be really slow, but 2.4GHz is performing normally from what I can tell. It's nothing to do with distance either. Is it a driver issue that might be solved in the future, or a hardware issue with my wifi card? I have tried to a wide range of troubleshooting and starting to wonder if I should just return the laptop. It's not a huge issue, but I don't want to end up with degrading wifi performance in the future if there's an issue, when I could still return it.

I had the same issue with my unit and I followed some of the suggestions on the Intel site under this forum posting that helped. https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Intel-Wi-Fi-6-AX201-slowness-FIPS/m-p/1261014
