I tried replacing wlan adapter with Intel 9260NGW..

After booting, it takes couple of reboots before wifi works (and speed are way better when it works)..

Bluetooth is detecting devices but not getting paired.

Will this adapter work at all on the laptop and is there any other adapter which is recommended for replacement.

Hi:

Who suggested that you upgrade to that model wifi card?

Doesn't your notebook only have one antenna cable, since it originally came with a Realtek RTL8723DE wifi adapter?

Unless you added a second antenna by taking the entire notebook apart including the display panel area, the 9260 card needs two antenna wires to be connected to it.

With only one antenna cable the Bluetooth won't work, and the wifi is probably not getting the best signal strength.

In notebooks with only one antenna cable (wire), this is the only dual band card you can upgrade to that works with one antenna wire.

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express,

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

The card will have the same throughput as the 8723DE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band, it will have a max throughput of 433 MBPS when you have an AC router with an excellent wifi signal strength.

No one suggested.. I gave it a try to see if it works.. it did work for wifi.. but looks like there are driver issues.

Thanks for update.. I will check on that Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac adapter.

You're very welcome.

The 8821CE card is pretty cheap on Ali Express.  The part number listed (915620-001) is also OK.
