Hi,
I'm having some issue with my networl and bluetooth adapters: the card is a Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter.
After the first boot of the PC, it works fine both for the WLAN and Bluetooth connections, but after the first update of the driver, two issues starts to appear.
The first one is related to the WLAN: the Realtek card seems to have difficulties to see the netowrks signal; for example, standing exaclty my router, I can see my network with a low signal (2 on 5) and the connection works rally slow (like it has really a bad signal). I've tried also to switch the settings to a only 2.4G connection, to verify if the issue was related on the 5G connection, but nothing happen.
The second issue is related to the bluetooth connection: as for the wireless, the function start to give issues when the driver has been updated; in this case, the device connected to the PC starts to not giving back any singal to the connected device (for example, connecting a bluetooth speaker/headphones, it gives only few frames of sounds), and to disconnect and reconnect the associated device.
I've tried to reset both the origianl drivers, but the issue still persist.
Also with other verisons of the drivers, the issue continue to appear; those are the tested drivers:
- 2024.0.10.209
- 2024.0.8.108
- 2023.79.619.2018
- 2023.56.0502.2017
Now, some days ago, another driver updates was available, and I've tried to update them, but nothing has been fixed.
I would like to know if there is a working driver for the adapter, or anything I can do to fix this issue.
Thanks to everyone who can help with this.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- Open Start.
- Search for Device Manager and click the top result to open the app.
- Expand the Network adapters.
- Right-click the adapter with the problem and select the Uninstall device button.
- Click the Uninstall button.
- Restart your computer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Hi Echo_Lake,
Thanks for you support; unfortunately, your solution doesn't work with this issue.
I've tried to do the unistall, as suggested by you, but nothing change: at the restart the system reinstall automatically the adapter, but the connection signal is still really low or unreachable (based on the distance from the router)
Let me know if you need more details about the issue.
Thanks again for your support.

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Also follow the instructions in this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04649175

@KrazyToad
I've done the method of using the HP assistant to update my driver and it still gives me spotty connection (even when it says everything is up to date). Is it just me or is there still something wrong...

@KrazyToad
As told initially in my request, I've just tried to dowload the latest version of the driver.
All the drivers versions I've tried (in my initial request you can see all the verisons) have been dowloaded from HP site or Realtek site.
I also update my PC everytime Windows send out new patches.
I work as a System Administrator; I've tried all the solutions I know to fix the issue
Seems like the issue is not related only to the driver version, because, in this case, the rollback of the updated driver to the default installed driver should have fixed the issue.
It's more similar to an error caused by a relationship between the Windows update and the adapter.
I've tried to search online any news about that, but I haven't found anything.
Thanks for your support.
