I have been using HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 for 3 years now. Almost a year ago the wifi hotspot and the bluetooth options went missing from my laptop. the same had happened with one of my friend whose issue was resolved within a month. I waited if my problem would be fixed automatically. But it is almost a year since it has not been resolved. i have tried installing the respective drivers but the issue is still persisiting. Could it be any hardware fault and what are the steps i should consider.

What model Wi-Fi adapter does your PC come with?

 

The first thing to try is updating the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version currently available which will not be on your notebook's support page.
