Hi:
When you connect an ethernet cable, nothing happens?
There is a default BIOS setting in your notebook, called LAN/WLAN Switching, and there may also be a LAN Power Save setting.
If the LAN/WLAN switching setting is enabled (default), the ethernet adapter does not show up in the device manager or in the network and sharing center until you actually plug in an ethernet cable.
The same for LAN Power save mode. If it is enabled, the ethernet adapter is turned off until a cable is plugged in.
If you have connected an ethernet cable and the ethernet doesn't work, unfortunately I don't know what the problem could be.

Thank you Paul,i tried to check all what you advised and everything looked fine and so there were no changes to make.
I checked on device manager and no driver showed a question mark.So i just decided why not run windows updates and funny enough after the updates installed everything worked and my problem was sorted.I appreciate you for taking your time to show concern on my issue.
