Hello,

I set up Ubuntu 22.04.1, booted from it, and... LAN port is working.

Don't know if I should be happy to see it works in general or be sad as it is still not working in Windows.

Thanks!

Hello @TommyM74

You're welcome !

This (linux) test proves that the network interface works but not in Windows. You may have to ask the Microsoft Community/Experts or reinstall the Windows operating system.

As reinstalling Windows is no option (this is my working laptop with millions of tools, setting it up new will cost me weeks), I will have to search on for a Windows solution.

Thanks for your support!

Just one more update:

got the USB/LAN adapter today... works perfect!

So it is not cable or router or network or whatever, it is definitely a Windows/HP LAN port issue. 😞

Hello @TommyM74

If you can live with it and are satisfied with this solution, everything is fine.

Good luck and have fun
