Revolve 810 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i have an HP Revolve 810 G2.  I got a HP IT4211 LTE/EV-DO/HSPA+4G add in card for it. I based the purchase on the drivers/software that are available for the device from HP Support using the HP detect tool on the device itself. I connected the antenna wiring and installed the card and tried booting it without the sim card in the slot and also with the sim card in the slot. It seems to freeze on bios detection as it never moves past the bios logo screen.  I am currently running the 1.45 rev. A bios on the device. I thought maybe i might need to downgrade the bios but I have not found files for that. The device resumes normal operation without the card installed in it. Any suggesstions would be helpful.

@Tglass31

Information from its manual

Integrated wireless wide area network (WWAN) options by way of wireless module
Support for the following WWAN modules:
● HP hs3110 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband
● HP lt4111 LTE/EV-DO/HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module (for use in the United States)
● HP lt4112 LTE/HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module (for use in Europe and Asia Pacific)
WWAN secured by micro-SIM
Support for no WWAN option
Support for WWAN after market option

That means you can install WWAN card yourself BUT must be the right one. Do you use the right card as listed above ?

Regards.

This is the card that I have.

HP lt4111 LTE/EV-DO/HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module (for use in the United States). The device(obviously) has the spot for the card to go into, the antennas wired for the card by default, and the micro sim slot.  When the card is connected in the device, it will not boot past the  hp logo bios screen.  When the card is not in the device,  I have gone through the bios options and there is not mention of any WWAN settings, only LAN or WLAN.  I started with the 1.45 rev.A bios and have since downgraded to 1.40 rev.A for troubleshooting purposes but the results have been the same. Any attempts to downgrade further have resulted in the bios not being flashed because the bios images from HP support can not be validated by the device itself.  It seems that maybe the WWAN options were not included in the bios updates and maybe requires a different compatible bios?

I am very hopeful that someone will suggest something tangible that's better than "did you read the book" .
