Hi:

You can always use the latest ethernet driver directly from Realtek.

Download, unzip and run the setup application from the W8 driver at the link below...

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=7&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTy...

You may want to report the missing ethernet driver from the HP Pavilion g4-1303au Notebook PC W8 support page to the HP executive team at the link below.  They can route it to the appropriate department for action.

Hi, Paul thanks for the reply.

i have one more question for you.

on driver page in network section, why there are so many different drivers available for wifi and bluetooth? i mean its only one model no laptoop then how come many drivers listed for network. is thsi mean that they use different wifi and bluetooth for the same model no? or they just too lazy to provide perfect list of drivers?

too many drivers in network is really confusing. why the tech team not focusing on this?

You're very welcome.

Since I don't work for or represent HP, I can only give my opinion of why it is what it is.

HP includes every possible driver for an entire model series on every model in that series' support page.

So, some g4-13xx models use different wifi adapters.  Some have bluetooth and some don't.

I imagine that arranging the driver pages that way is much easier and takes less maintenance than doing thousands of customized support pages for every PC HP has out there.

yes it is easy for hp to arrange in that order,,

but its a huge pain in as* of a customer who have no idea which blutooth, wifi, lan driver he or she should install,, and they finally end up using some driver booster which gives them improper drivers.

how come hp doesnt understand this customer problem? may be thier employees just dont give a sh**.

Why not contact HP at the link below and ask them yourself?

https://ssl.www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/connect-with-hp.html

I've already provided my theory as to why they don't arrange the drivers by each thousands of models.

Would cost too much to maintain and update.
