HP Laptop PC 14-dq2000 IDS Base Model
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop used to be able to connect to old xfinity internet (2.4 or 5 GHz). Now whenever I try to connect it to the new xFi gateway "wifi6" says connecting then asks me for the network security key and says "things have changed since I last connected and more information is needed to make the connection." Then when I enter the pw (works on other devices) it just asks for the network key again.

I'm using the same network (wifi) name and pw I used to for the old router. Could this be the problem? It's working for my nintendo ds, nintendo switch and cell phone.

Hi @MLuisHerman,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Yes, you are right. If you are using a new wifi connection, you need to reconfigure and use a new password for a new router.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
