Hello all,
My main computer (an HP 15-dy2093dx) has had a bit of an ongoing problem as of late, and that is that every now and again, and I usually notice this while I'm listening to music or watching a video-- the sound distorts/freezes/hiccups for about half a second. A few days ago, this happened and my laptop blue-screened, citing rtwlane.sys as what triggered it. More recently, I turned the wi-fi off and on again and I noticed the same thing happened, only without a blue screen, which leads me to believe that the WLAN adapter (or at least the driver) is causing the problem. As far as I know, my WLAN driver is up to date (it is a Realtek RTL8821C 802.11ac PCI adapter and the driver version is 2024.0.10.225) and while this is honestly something I've gotten used to as this has been happening since I bought this computer in 2021, I am only now figuring out why this may have been happening for all this time and it'd be nice if I could know how to fix it for good. Would this mean I need to look into buying a new WLAN adapter entirely?
Thanks in advance!

Hi:
If you are getting a BSOD caused by the rtwlane.sys file, there is a problem with the Realtek Wi-Fi driver.
Try updating the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version and see if that resolves the problem:
