I did the last known good configuration and now the WiFi adapter does not work at all. The constant rebooting has stopped but now it is impossible to connect to the internet at all....
I have tried to disable and enable the drivers for the WiFi adapter but it is still not working any longer.
When I connect the LAN cable the laptop will start rebooting itself again.

Hello polkas,
I understand that your computer will reboot when connected to the internet.
Do a hard reset.
Turn the computer off.
Remove the power cable and the battery.
Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth power sources are removed.
This should reset the hardware in the computer.
As you turn it back on tap the F10 key. This will load BIOS setup utility.
Press F9 to load defaults.
Press F10 to save and exit.
When the computer boots back up, check to see if everything is working.
If you’re still having the problem, go to HP.com and update the BIOS and the wireless card.
Here is a link to your updates.
Let me know how everything goes.

I think your questions reveal that you are not only INEXPERINCED, but also cannot ask intelligent questions. You have been asking and asking and asking and in the end, give a very UNintelligent advice. The guys are constantly saying that machine boots up fine and keeps working. It is when you establish a network connection that the machine reboots.
Your advice is to boot the machine in "Last Known Good Conf...". Don't you know that once a machine has been booted past Windows logo, it is already in a "Good Conf..."?
Please learn something before giving advice and expecting "KUDOS". Don't waste our time. You don't know enough to solve this problem.

i have experienced an identical problem on multiple computers. i believe it is an issue with windows, not your computer hardware as it has happened to me on Dell pc and HP laptop. i do not know how to fix it but i have figured out a way to connect to the internet without the computer restarting. if the connection type is home or work, the computer restarts the moment it connects. if it is set as public, i am able to connect to the internet without the computer shutting down. i have no idea why this works, but it does.
