Laptop states no connections available when I do have wifi connection at home available.

HP Folio9470m
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

There is a red X  by the tool bar where network connections icon is. I have wifi at home so connections are available. Not sure if i am missing a specific driver. I tried installing some from hp site but none seem to fix the problem. When I went to check the Device manager the following have yellow exclamation signals.

PCI Serial Port

PCI Simple communications Controller

Unversal Serial Bus (USB) Controller

Under Network Adapters drop down I have the following installed succesfully:

Intel (R) 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection

Go back to the HP Support site and download/install the chipset drivers as well.

Then for the wireless connectivity issue:

Reading through the other posts on this forum will lead you to similar issues being posted and steps to take to restore connectivity.

These steps will help:

Go to Device manager > select the WIFI drivers under network adapter> Right click go to properties  > Under properties go to Power Management Tab> Uncheck  "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

P.S. to the above. I found this helpful link.

I tried Solution 1: Change Network Adapter Properties in the link above, steps 1-5, and it worked. My WIFI Button was blue again. The hard-reset in my first Post only worked one time. OUgrad
