Hi @Sohom_Roy_,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP Victus laptop is able to connect to all other Wi-Fi networks except your personal hotspot. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this connection issue.
a. Forget and Reconnect to Your Hotspot
Open Wi-Fi settings → select your hotspot name → click Forget.
Turn your hotspot off and back on, then reconnect by entering the password again.
b. Reset Network Settings on Laptop
Press Windows + I → Network & Internet → Advanced network settings → Network reset.
Click Reset now, then restart your laptop.
This clears any previous Wi-Fi configuration conflicts.
c. Check Hotspot Band Compatibility
On your phone, open Hotspot Settings → AP Band, and switch between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
Some laptops may not connect if the band is set to 5 GHz.
d. Update Wi-Fi Driver
Right-click Start → Device Manager → Network adapters.
Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter (for example, Realtek or MediaTek) → Update driver → Search automatically for drivers.
If available, install the update and restart your laptop.
e. Disable Power Saving for Network Adapter
In Device Manager, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter → Properties → Power Management tab.
Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power, then click OK.
I hope this helps.
