Hi below are my product details:
1. HP Notebook - 15-be006tu
2. Serial number: CND70726DY
3.Product number: X5Q18PA
My wifi adapter is Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn.
My router is dual band enabled ...sends both 2.4 ghz as well as 5ghz...My mobile picks both signals...but my laptop cant pick 5ghz...Is my laptop capable of picking of 5ghz...or is the hardware not compatible...the wifi speed is limited to 100mbps on my notebook...when my mobile could easily pick 200mbps (mine is 200mbps connection)...If my notebook hardware cant go above 100mbps...what are my alternatives?
Thanks in advance

No, the Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn won't be able to "see" 5.0GHz networks. That is hardware limitation. Your machine only has single antenna, you can upgrade your machine using following wifi cards
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + BT 4.2 Combo part # 806723-005
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + BT 4.2 Combo Adapter part # 863934-855

Hi, @Srikanth001
The Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn wifi adapter is a single band (2.4 GHz) only wifi card.
The wifi speed your notebook is getting is exceptional for that card, as its maximum throughput is supposed to be limited to 72 MBPS.
If you would like to upgrade the internal wifi card to a dual band AC wifi card, there is one model that will work for you...
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported)
HP Part # L17365-005
The only place I have been able to find this card is on eBay because it is on back order at the HP part store.
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06189781
Otherwise, you can purchase an external USB dual band wifi adapter.
The Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + BT 4.2 Combo part # 806723-005 & the
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + BT 4.2 Combo Adapter part # 863934-855
will not work properly unless you add a second antenna.
Specifically, the Bluetooth will not work without a second antenna with the Intel cards.
The Realtek AC card is the only wifi card where both the wifi and Bluetooth will work with a single antenna cable.

.@Banhein and.@Paul_Tikkanen...Thank you for your quick reply..I appreciate it...while we are at it..I have one more question...my Ethernet LAN driver is Realtek PCIe FE Family controller...As I have told in my original post....my ISP plan is of 200mbps...even if i connect my Ethernet cable....speed is not exceeding 100 Mbps...Is there a hardware limitation on my LAN speed too?Does my LAN card too not support speed above 100 Mbps?
Thank you

You're very welcome.
The product specs for your notebook indicate the ethernet adapter has a maximum throughput of 100 MBPS.

Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade the internal ethernet adapter because it is an integral part of the motherboard.
But you can purchase an external USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter, plug it into one of your notebook's available USB3 ports and have a gigabit ethernet connection that way.
Something like this...
