HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0044ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.

I have a laptop Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0044ur and bumped into problem, that wifi and bluetooth do not work properly simultaneously.

Description:

At the begining it appeard when I have attached bluetooth mouse. While I download anything - mouse gets laggy. As well as internet connection getting slow. I thought it's mouse problem.

But now I have same situation with bluetooth headphones - internet connection getting really slow with lost packages.

If I connect mouse/headphones to external USB-adapter, everything works great. Any bluetooth device connected to internal adapter causes network problems.

Network adapter is rtl8822ce 802.11ac pcie.

What have I tryied:

  1. Windows with latest updated.
  2. HP Support assistant is installed - no pending driver updated.
  3. Hardware reset was performed - problem still exist.
  4. Tryed all the wifi-channels (2,4Ghz) in order to reduce interference - no success.
  5. Reinstalled windows.

It seems to be hardware or driver problem. How to fix it?

Hi:

Since you didn't post what driver versions you currently have installed, these are the latest ones...

Wifi:  2024.0.10.220

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111001-111500/sp111389.exe

Bluetooth:  1.8.1030.3010

If your wifi adapter is connected to the 5.0 GHz wifi band, that normally reduces the BT interference.

If the driver updates don't help, I recommend that you replace that horrible and unreliable wifi card with this model...

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # L35282-005.

You should be able to find that model card on eBay.

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.

Thank you for response.

My drivers have versions which you specified.

I've read about the solution with replacing adapter on intel one, but hoped there were a workaround.

People say, the problem remains on Linux systems as well. So, it's probably bad piece of hardware.

My laptop is still on warranty, so, I guess, I would wait for replacement or use USB-adapter.

Or try to fix it via warranty service.
