Hi, i'm having the same issue here. I bought a pavilion 15-n206AX with windows 8.1

At random times I get the connection limited message, and if a tried to disconnect from the wifi then I can't find it anymore. If a turn off and on the wifi switch sometimes the adapter driver gets uninstalled (??) so I have to reinstall the drivers to get it to work.

I've tried both windows 7 and windows 8.1 drivers that I've downloaded from the drivers section in hp.com, but this sollutions don't seem to be permanent. Need help, it's a really annoying issue!

Hi,

I have Hp pavilion dv6 7011tx notebook.

Windows 8.1 installed and

WiFi (f12) switch does not turn into white and wifi is disabled in display...

all updated wifi and bluetooth drivers installed along with f12 driver...

tried installing your driver sp57965 but also wifi is disabled f12 shows only orange color....

on pressing f12 only airplane mode changes on or off and not wifi as we would be having when windows 7 once installed

Please reply how did you manage to get through this?

Spent half the morning with tech support on this problem.  IMHO they have no solution...it just is.  Taking the computer back tomorrow. Nothing but a colossal waste of time. Wonder if Meg Whitman knows about this issue.

I wasted quite some time on this too. I turned off the Win8.1 update reminder via group policy as upgrading would break wifi connectivity - i.e. no internet access. It is poor that there is no solution to this.

Hi ... I tried both windows 7 drivers for my Broadcom wireless adaptor and still cannot get beyond "limited connectivity". Any other suggestions? Any more recent updates?

When I tried to update to the latest drivers from my Pavilion DV6, the answer was that there are no more recent drivers available.

Thanks ... appreciate your input.

My hardware is the notebook HP Pavilion dv6-6c70br.

The solution on this website apparently solved the issue for me:
