HP support agents .... Please help me find a compatible driver to my WLAN driver.... My wifi connection having the same problem and I couldn't fix it... It have been over a month of struggle.
my laptop is HP pavilion 15 netobook PC
my product number is j0c65ea#a2n
current windows is 8.1
current driver is broadcom BCM43142.802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter

Link below explains how I managed to have Microsoft Windows update my HP to use Broadcom's 2016 drivers for the BCM 43142.
I haven't disconnected since, touch wood..

My hardware is the notebook HP Pavilion dv6-6c70br.
The solution on this website apparently solved the issue for me:

- Scroll down on the 'Manufacturer' panel to 'Broadcom' and select it
- Scroll down on the 'Network Adapter:' and find
'Broadcom 802.11 Multiband Network Adapter'
- Select it, and click 'Next'
THIS IS ONLY FOR WINDOWS 8.1 & Broadom bcm94313hmg2l.
- Say yes to the 'Update Driver Warning'
- Close and you should be able to connect gracefully.
