HP Recommended

Hi purchased today a HP 15.6" Ultra 7 512gb laptop.  Trying to connect my existing Microsoft mouse to the new laptop.  Lapotop finds other devices in my home but will not find the mouse.  Any ideas why?  Should'nt the laptop find this mouse also (it is in fine working order etc)?  Thanks folks.

What is the MS mouse ? Please allow it to be DISCOVERABLE, it may require a code to connect (normally 0000).
