My hp laptop was bluescreening so I ended up cleaning it and reinstalling windows 11 via usb. After I installed windows 11, the wifi is just not an option. I tried installing drivers based on my device using the hp laptop but it still doesn't work. Another thing that also stopped working was the sound option. I was able to fix it by downloading the driver for it and it installed fine. It's just the wifi that is not installing or showing up. Please help. I even tried looking for it on my device manager and even enabled "show hidden devices" and still no luck. I have tried installing many different wifi drivers from the hp website but none of them seem to budge. Please help.

First, on your phone, turn on mobile data for internet access. Connect the original USB cable from phone to HP laptop, then enable USB tethering in phone settings (Android: Settings > Network & Internet > Hotspot & tethering; iPhone: Settings > Personal Hotspot). Windows 11 should detect it as a new Ethernet connection automatically. Now run windows update and its optional updates and it may install all required drivers including wifi.

I’ve tried this but it doesn’t read any type of ethernet connections. Is there anything that I could be doing wrong?

Test different USB ports on the HP laptop and swap to another data-capable USB cable, as charge-only cables fail for tethering. Unlock the phone, allow any "trust computer" prompts, and confirm mobile data is active before enabling USB tethering. Restart both the phone and laptop after changes
