Hi @calex0,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with Bluetooth disappearing from your system. I'll be glad to help.

Please try the following steps:

1. Perform a Hard Reset:

This can clear temporary hardware or power-related issues.

  • Shut down the laptop.

  • Disconnect the charger and any external devices.

  • Press and hold the Power button for 15-20 seconds.

  • Turn the laptop back on and check if Bluetooth has returned.

2. Check Device Manager:

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.

  • Click View > Show hidden devices.

  • Expand the Bluetooth section.

  • If the Bluetooth adapter appears disabled, right-click it and select Enable device.

  • If it is missing, select your PC name at the top and click Action > Scan for hardware changes.

3. Restart the Bluetooth Service:

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

  • Locate Bluetooth Support Service.

  • Right-click and select Restart (or Start if it is stopped).

  • Open Properties and set Startup type to Automatic.

4. Reinstall the Bluetooth Driver:

  • Open Device Manager.

  • Right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device.

  • Restart the laptop.

  • Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

5. Update Windows and HP Drivers:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update and install any available updates.

  • If the issue persists, download and install the latest Bluetooth/Wireless driver from the HP support website for your exact laptop model.

If Bluetooth is still missing after these steps, please provide:

  • Your HP product/model number

  • The Windows version installed

  • Whether Bluetooth is completely absent from Device Manager or showing with an error icon

We'll be happy to assist further.

Take care and have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.
