I have tried every possible solution on the internet...used hp recovery manager,system restore, downloaded drivers from hp website and installed, used third-party apps to install the driver, reset BIOS settings, and everything...only Realtek pce family controller is showing in the device manager list...Realtek 802.11 bgn adapter is missing from network adapter list (even in hidden drivers)...please help

First part of ID process is ESC and F1 shows something like this...

ESC  and then F1 get's you here.

That I have an 8723 myself.

 

So is it really there?

Copy, Paste and Save in Notepad, as LBB2Z.bat and double click to run.
Post anything non-personal, but relevant please.

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat

AND/OR - Power on your PC, press Esc (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

If the wifi adapter is not showing up at all in the device manager, most likely it has died on you and needs to be replaced.

 

You can first try removing and firmly reseating the wifi card and see if that gets it to show up again.

 

See if you can leave the antenna cable connected when you do that to facilitate easy reinstallation.

 

Sometimes the contacts get oxidized and it loses the electrical connection.

Looking at the screenshot, what that means is the device is either hidden or once used to be there.

 

See if uninstalling the hidden Realtek wifi device and restarting the PC gets it to show up again.

 

Also click the uninstall driver box.

 

If it does not reappear as unhidden, you can pretty much bet it is a hardware problem.
