Hi @need0help7

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the Bluetooth adapter was working normally with your headphones and then suddenly disappeared from Windows, including Device Manager and the taskbar. Since the Bluetooth device itself is no longer being detected, let's focus on restoring the wireless adapter on your Victus 16-s0000.

Perform a hardware reset:

  • Shut down the laptop.
  • Disconnect all external devices.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  • Turn the PC back on and check if Bluetooth returns.

Check if the Bluetooth device is hidden:

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Click View > Show hidden devices.
  • Expand Bluetooth and Network adapters.
  • If the Bluetooth adapter appears faded, right-click it and select Enable device.

Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:

  • Press Esc repeatedly during startup, then press F2.
  • Run the Component Tests for Wireless Module.
  • Note any error codes displayed.

Update the wireless/Bluetooth driver:

  • Visit HP Software and Driver Downloads: Link
  • Enter your serial number or product model.
  • Install the latest Bluetooth and Wireless LAN drivers available for your system.
  • Restart the PC after installation.

Check Windows optional updates:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates.
  • Install any available Bluetooth or wireless-related updates.
  • Restart the system.

Load BIOS defaults:

  • Restart the notebook and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.
  • Select Restore Defaults.
  • Save changes and exit.
  • Check whether Bluetooth is detected after Windows loads.

If the Bluetooth adapter is completely missing from Device Manager, including under "Hidden Devices," please let us know whether your Victus model uses a MediaTek, Realtek, or Intel wireless card and whether the wireless (Wi‑Fi) connection is still working normally. This will help us guide you to the next recommended step.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
