I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:
I understand you are getting the error code 39 typically indicates a driver issue in Windows, meaning the Bluetooth driver is either missing, corrupted, or improperly installed. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and fix the Bluetooth not working issue on your HP 15-r006tu Notebook PC:
1. Restart Your Computer
- Sometimes a simple restart can resolve hardware and driver issues.
2. Update Bluetooth Driver
Automatic Update via Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Bluetooth section to see the Bluetooth adapter.
- Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter (e.g., "Realtek Bluetooth Adapter") and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers and let Windows find and install the latest driver.
Manual Update from HP Website:
- Visit the HP Support website.
- Enter your product model number (HP 14-RT3290) to find the correct drivers for your notebook.
- Download the latest Bluetooth driver for your model and operating system.
- Install the driver by following the on-screen instructions and restart your computer.
3. Uninstall and Reinstall Bluetooth Driver
- Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Bluetooth section and right-click on the Bluetooth adapter.
- Select Uninstall device and confirm.
- Restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the Bluetooth driver upon reboot.
4. Check Bluetooth Service
- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type services.msc and press Enter.
- In the Services window, find and double-click Bluetooth Support Service.
- Ensure the Startup type is set to Automatic and the Service status is Running.
- Click Start if the service is not running, then click OK.
5. Run Bluetooth Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Additional troubleshooters.
- Click on Bluetooth and then click Run the troubleshooter.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix the problem.
6. Check for Windows Updates
- Sometimes Windows updates include important driver updates.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click Check for updates.
7. Restore System to an Earlier Point
- If the issue started recently, you can try restoring your system to a point when Bluetooth was working.
- Go to Control Panel > Recovery > Open System Restore.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system to a previous state.
