Hi,

i sent my laptop to HP for reparations because it wasn’t charging. They replaced my motherboard. It’s charging now but first, my bluetooth was completely gone from my laptop (no icon and no connection possibilities) so i got a bluetooth adapter. Now that my bluetooth is working through the adapter only, my wifi has gone as well.

i have tried every single possible update or bug fix. Nothing works. I deleted the latest update and it started working again for like 20 mins. Afterwards it went away again and i cant even delete updates anymore now.

what should i do?

Hi @Mouna3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop is unable to connect to wifi, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Make sure your laptop's wifi is turned on: Check to ensure that your laptop's wifi is turned on. This can usually be done by pressing the "Fn" key and the key with the wifi icon (usually F12) at the same time.
  • Check if wifi is turned on: Ensure that the wifi router or access point is turned on and is broadcasting a wifi signal.
  • Check the wifi signal strength: If the wifi signal is weak or not available, move closer to the router or access point.
  • Restart your laptop and router: Try restarting your laptop and router. This can sometimes fix connectivity issues.
  • Check for driver updates: Check for driver updates for your laptop's wifi adapter. Go to the HP website and search for the latest drivers for your model.
  • Forget and reconnect to the wifi network: In the Windows taskbar, right-click on the wifi icon and select "Open Network and Internet settings." Under "Wi-Fi," click on "Manage known networks," select the wifi network you are having issues with, and click "Forget." Then, try connecting to the network again.
  • Run the Windows Network Troubleshooter: Go to the Windows search bar, type "troubleshoot," and select "Troubleshoot settings." Under "Find and fix other problems," select "Internet Connections" and follow the on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
