Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I can guide you through several troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue with your HP laptop not connecting to Wi-Fi. Please follow these steps.

Forget and Reconnect to the Network
- Forget Network:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks.
- Select the network you are trying to connect to and click Forget.
- Reconnect:
- Go back to Wi-Fi settings, select your network from the list, and enter the password to reconnect.
Run the Network Troubleshooter

- Find Network Adapter and click Run.

Check Wi-Fi Adapter Settings
- Device Manager:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters.
- Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter and select Properties.
- Power Management:
- Go to the Power Management tab.
- Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
- Advanced Settings:
- Go to the Advanced tab.
- Ensure settings like Wireless Mode and Preferred Band are set to default or appropriate values.
Check Router Settings
- Ensure your router's firmware is up-to-date.
- Check if MAC address filtering is enabled on the router and add your laptop's MAC address if necessary.
Use Command Prompt for Network Commands
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator:
- Press Windows + X and select Windows Terminal (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).
- Run these commands one by one:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
Check for Interference
- Ensure there are no devices causing interference (like microwaves or cordless phones) near your router.
Test with Another Network
- Try connecting your laptop to a different Wi-Fi network (e.g., a mobile hotspot) to determine if the issue is with your laptop or the specific network.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem with your Wi-Fi adapter.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
