I contacted my Internet company they said the Wi-Fi supports all devices I told them about my issue which my laptop is the only device that cannot detect my Wi-Fi they said it is a problem with my laptop driver not sure what to do now

You need to connect your notebook to your router's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.
This would be the latest W8.1 Wi-Fi driver HP has for your notebook's wireless card.
