Hi. I just recently obtained a second hand Compaq Presario CQ56-150SC and it was working fine until the other day when the internet stopped working. Tried trouble shooting and it told me that a network cable was unplugged or broken. I did some research and was advised to look in device manager. Network adapter wasn't there. So I checked hidden items and there it was, but greyed out. The next bit of advice I followed said to uninstall it and let it reinstall on next boot up. So I did. It didn't reinstall (and still hasn't). I've tried installing drivers from the HP website but nothing happening. The network adapter that was greyed out was a Ralink, but I can't remember any other info about it now that it's vanished.
Thanks in advance.
John

See p. 42 for "how to":
You can install any of the above wireless cards but has to be the version with an HP Part number. The Atheros and Broadcoms are the better quality adapters.
This one would include Bluetooth:
Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1+EDR combo adapter (BT3.0+HS ready) 600370-001
