Recently the hard drive failed on my notebook and I had to replace it. I installed a clean version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 and I find that I now can not access the internet via my notebook. On checking via the device manager I find that the Ethernet Controller; Network Controller; PCI Device; PCI Simple Communications Controller and SM Bus Controller all show the same message on the status of the device, i.e. 'The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)'
Can anyone help me to resolve this issue or can anyone tell me the name of the manufacturer of the network card used by HP on Pavilion g6 notebooks.

Hi:
What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?
The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.
Please do not post the serial number.
Also post the hardware ID for the Network Controller device because there can be one of several different model wifi adapters HP could have installed in your PC.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...
