I got a new HP ENVY laptop yesterday - to replace an earlier with faulty keyboard.
Last night I left it loading OFFICE but when I did a Restart this morning, it would not connect to the Internet because it no longer sees the WiFi.

Seem to have sorted this.
I ran the Troublshooter and it told me that there might be a problem with the WiFi driver - hardly helpful!
Went to the old style contol panel and it was showing WiFi status OK. I disabled it then re-enabled and now connecting.
My mistake - ETHERNET is RJ45 - just that my connector did not want to fit but OK now.

It has happened again this morning, was working on WiFi for a time then when I tried to switch to 5GHz, all the received WiFi listed disappeared then the WiFi itself. Does not show any WiFi present
It shows on Device Manager and says working OK. No updated driver found.
But Windows 10 Settings does not show any WiFi present.

It occurred to me that this is similar to the fault my earlier Envy laptop. The Wifi would stop working periodically and needed DISABLE / ENABLE to get it working again. This was when using my normal BT router, I found that if I put my TP-Link router into use then it would work OK and never fail.
I ended up turning off the WiFi and using Ethernet.
I tried just now putting the TP-Link router into use and (so far!), the WiFi on the new Envy laptop is again working OK. It seems the Envy laptops do not like BT routers!

Hi
Personally I would think about the LEASE time. Also give a fixed (manual) IP address.
Wireless LAN adapter WiFi:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . :
DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . :
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.11(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 12 March 2020 09:06:32
Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 13 March 2020 09:06:31
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . :
DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . :
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
OR it is a rather cheap and nasty Router that BT supply.

I usually see comments about BT routers being very good, I know that when I stay with some friends and use their SKY broadband, I struggle to connect from the room next to the one with the router but at I home I have one PC that runs 24/7 and connects across the house by WiFi through several walls. I have had various other PCs over the years, a couple of tablets, mobile phones, PVR etc and only the HP Envy WiFi have any trouble using the BT Home Hubs.
