Purchased 3 days ago. Will connect via ethernet cord perfectly. Will initially connect to WIFI & Hotspot but will disconnect (WIFI and/or hotspot says connected, but no internet access) after a couple minutes or attempting to do anything over the internet. Attempted this in 3 different peoples homes. I believe I don't have the WIFI driver needed after doing some research. What driver do I need? What can I do?
In Device Manager>Network adapters only have:
Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
Realtek PCle GbE Family Controller
Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11ac PCle Adapter
WAN Miniport (IKEv2)
WAN Miniport (IP)
WAN Miniport (IPv6)
WAN Miniport (L2TP)
WAN Miniport (Network Monitor)
WAN Miniport (PPPOE)
WAN Miniport (PPTP)
WAN Miniport (SSTP)
Can you help me?
TIA

Hi:
That model wifi card is causing many forum members a great deal of issues.
Recently a new driver was posted on the Microsoft Update Catalog.
I have zipped that driver up and attached it below.
You can give it a try in the hope that it resolves the problem...
Version: 2024.0.8.105, 04/12/2019
You have to manually update the driver as follows...
Go to the device manager.
Click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category.
Click on the Realtek 8822 wifi adapter listed there.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
