No Network Connection

Hi, I currently have a HP Pavilion and for the past couple of months I haven't been able to access internet.  In the toolbar there is a picture of a computer screen with an ethernel cord and a red X. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the Network Drivers and that still changed nothing. I have even downloaded new ones from the Realtek wesite. When I try to troubleshoot the Realtek PCI Fe Family Controller, it tells me that I must use a ethernet cord and even when its plugged in it did doesn't work.

Lifting out the key parts...

Normally there are 3 devices listed Ethernet, Bluetooth and WiFI.

You only have the first 2.  The internet beacon test failed.

The Ethernet seems to be installed, but is not working, much like mine..
