Hi @Chosenvalstar,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your computer lost Wi-Fi access after installing a recent update. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Restart the computer
Restarting clears temporary update conflicts that can disable wireless features.
After restart, check if the Wi-Fi option reappears.

Check if Wi-Fi is turned off in settings
Open Settings > Network & Internet.
Make sure Wi-Fi is turned On and Airplane mode is Off.

Check Device Manager for the wireless adapter
Open Device Manager and expand Network adapters.
If the Wi-Fi adapter is missing or shows a warning icon, the driver may have been removed by the update.

Show hidden devices in Device Manager
In Device Manager, click View > Show hidden devices.
Look for the wireless adapter under Network adapters or Unknown devices.

Reinstall or update the Wi-Fi driver
Download and install the correct wireless driver for your HP model from HP’s support page.
Restart the computer after installation.

Run a network reset
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset.
This reinstalls network components that may have been affected by the update.

Check BIOS wireless settings
Restart the computer and press F10 to enter BIOS.
Confirm that Wireless LAN is enabled, then save and exit.

Perform a hard reset
Power off the computer, unplug the charger, and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
Reconnect power and restart to reset internal hardware states.

I hope this helps.
