Product: HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
My laptop is not detecting my wireless network.
I have updated the network adapter driver, tried resetting from BIOS, still no success.
Router is an Xfinity xfi dual band router. No other devices have ever had a problem detecting or connecting to this router.
please help!

What is your HP Pavilion 17 machine ? It may only support 2.4GHz networks. Please allow your router to broadcast BOTH bands, it should be able to see 2.4GHz network and allow you to connect.
Regards.
