Hi there! I am having trouble finding my connection on my Hp laptop. I’ve done everything to try and fix it. Ever since I got the newest modem from xfinity WiFi it stopped appearing on my available connections, I don’t know if my computer is too old for it since it is the highest technology internet, but I’m sure there is a way to try and connect. When I had my old modem ( which was the 2018-2019 version) it connected perfectly and I could use my laptop and do my school work properly, but now that I got a new modem I can’t do the things I use to. And this is the only device that can’t connect to my home WiFi, every other device connects fine, and is able to at least see the connection under the nearby WiFi’s. Please help, i need my laptop for my school assignments as soon as possible, thank you! ( Note that I already have a 2.4ghz on my WiFi, and it still can’t find it)

Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
Any chance are you able to connect yo other Network?
Are you able to go online with an wired Ethernet cable?
If Yes, I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊
