@GIAGOULA66, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP laptop intermittently loses visibility of your router, while other devices stay connected. Since your drivers are up to date, let’s walk through a few steps to isolate and resolve the issue.

Forget and Reconnect to the Network

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks
  • Select your router’s SSID and click Forget
  • Reconnect manually and re-enter the password

Disable Power Saving for Wi-Fi Adapter

Sometimes Windows disables the Wi-Fi adapter to save power:

  • Press Windows + X → Device Manager
  • Expand Network adapters → Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter → Properties
  • Go to Power Management tab → Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”

Change Preferred Band (2.4GHz vs 5GHz)

If your router supports dual-band:

  • Go to Device Manager → Wi-Fi adapter → Advanced tab
  • Set Preferred Band to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz depending on your router’s stability

Reset Network Settings

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status
  • Scroll down and click Network reset
  • Restart your laptop after the reset

Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers

Even if CCleaner shows drivers are updated, it’s best to check HP’s official site:

  • Visit Official HP® Support
  • Enter your laptop’s model number
  • Download and install the latest BIOS, Chipset, and Wireless LAN drivers

Check for Interference or Router Settings

  • Ensure your router firmware is up to date
  • Try changing the router’s channel
  • Avoid placing the laptop near microwaves or cordless phones

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
