My laptop (EC1008NA) currently has the Realtek 8823CE card, Today I replaced it with the Intel AX200NGW card but I could never get the card to show up in the settings or device manager, I did a BIOS component test and the card passed, all of the correct drivers were installed but no luck

I went back to the old card and that works fine, any ideas what it could be?

Ive replaced a few wifi cards in the past so this process isn’t new to me

Hi:

I have a HP 15-ee0047nr notebook with the Ryzen 5 4500 processor, and it has this model and part number installed.

It works just fine.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP Part # L35282-005

If you notice, the SPS number on the card in your image is different than the one installed in my notebook.

When I google that part number, it seems to be the vPro model of the card, and those will not work in any PC with an AMD processor, or any HP consumer class notebook for that matter.

L35284-005 SPS-WLAN INT 22260NGW 11ax 2x2+BT5 vPRO | eBay

vPro wifi cards only work in HP business class notebooks with Intel processors and chipsets that support vPro technology.

You can order the non-VPro card from the HP parts store in Ireland, or check on eBay for one that may cost less.

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts

Since there is no service manual for your notebook (just the older model series), I cannot check the list of supported wifi cards.

Therefore, I can't 100% guarantee the non-vPro AX 200 card will work, but I can 100% guarantee that is why the card you installed isn't working.

I replaced the vPRO card with this version instead but im getting the same problem, card not showing in device manager. Could HP have blocked some wifi cards from working on this laptop?

Sorry that AX 200 card didn't work either.

Yes, HP must have blocked any other wifi cards not listed in the service manual from working.

If you ordered the card from HP, Ireland, hopefully they will accept returns.

Quick Update, I finally got the AX210 card to work, It appears that the 'microsoft kernel debug driver' was somehow interfering with the Intel drivers.
