Product: Pavillion dv7 notebook Prod# AIL68AV
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Pavillion dv7 laptop gives message "does not support Miracast" when trying to setup mirroring to a smart TV.  Laptop is running Windows10 Home & Student.  Question: can Miracast be added to this laptop?

Here are the specifications your PC has to have in order to support Miracast...

 

System Requirements for Intel® Wireless Display (Intel® WiDi)

 

Your PC does not support Miracast/Wireless Display.

So there is no way to upgrade/fix this unsupported feature on my Pavillion dv7?  Just need a new Laptop ??

If it has a HDMI port, you could install a device something like this...

You would have to check to see if it is compatible with your specific model notebook.
