Hey! I can't seem to fix these problems even with multiple driver updates / troubleshooting. It seems like people have the ping problem specifically with the Omen 16 and Realtek, and it's driving me nuts that I can't solve it. Love the computer so far, but these are seriously potential deal breakers if I can't fix them.
Problems
- Constant ping spikes while gaming
- Can't run things like YouTube fullscreen on native laptop screen while connected to external monitor. It changes to lower res two or three times then ends up providing an error and have to refresh
- Mutliple apps running at the same time end up going white (not broken) randomly
I have an Asus ROG G14 that I'm replacing with this one (haven't sold it yet), and none of these problems happen with extended use / gaming on the G14. I've tested with it concurrently while owning this Omen 16...as far as I can tell I can eliminate my network (have both 5 and 2.4 set up) as the issue unless there's a compatibility problem with Realtek.
Thanks so much for any help!
Edit: I'm willing to buy a different wifi card as well, but it seems like HP restricts what cards can be put in
