Hi
I currently have 802.11n card installed. Is it possible to upgrad e to 802.11ac in a HP with these specs? Looking to upgrade router/modem to a Arris Surfboard (AC1750) Thanks for the help!

Hi,
I think your machine is an HP 650 G1 laptop with Intel Gen 4 processor. The HP 650 G1 supports the following wireless cards
Atheros 802.11b/g/n (1x1)
Atheros 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo
Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n (2x2) and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo
Intel Centrino® Advanced-N 6205 802.11a/b/g/n (2x2)6205
Intel Centrino® Advanced-N 6235 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac (2x2) WiFi + BT 4.0 combo
It is safe to use a card on the above list.
Regards.
