Upgraded my HP Envy Sleekbook 4 Notebook (HP envy 4-1104TX) PC with Windows 10 Home (64-bit). Windows updates are causing the wifi networks to disappear. I tried rolling back the updates. After this it works, but then after a few days of more updates, the wifi goes MIA again.
It seems RT3290 does not have any windows 10 compatible drivers.
Can someone from HP help?
Driver version is 5.0.57.1 dated 18-05-2015.

Follow the steps below to isolate and resolve the issue-
Disable the Power Off option for the adapter:

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:

2. Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.
3. In the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without quotes, and press enter.

It may also help to reset the winsock catalogue:

Hi Tej,
I tried all that, but it still didnt work.
Finally, i proceeded with a clean install once again and it started working.
I have disabled all windows updates as they are creating havoc with my wifi and i'm spending hours trying to get it back !
Another issue happened and my audio went kaput after the clean install.
I selected the available driver for the IDT and it too started working.
But, sadly my beats audio GUI isnt available in Windows 10. Dont know how to get it back.
I tried sp63555.exe and also sp71717.exe, but for both, im getting an error message "The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The installation will be aborted".
Need help !
