Hi:
You have a hardware problem of some kind regarding the wifi adapter.
It is not present in the device manager.
So, you would have to troubleshoot the hardware problem with the missing wifi adapter.
Sometime all you need to do is to remove and reseat the wifi adapter and it will reappear. That is because the contacts get oxidized sometimes. Try and leave the antenna cables connected to the wifi card during this process to avoid having to reattach the delicate and tiny connectors.
If removing and reseating the wifi adapter does not get it to appear, then it will have to be replaced.

Hi:
If the wifi adapter needs a driver, there will be a device listed under an Other Devices category in the device manager, labeled as a Network Controller. That is the name Windows gives the wifi adapter when the driver is not installed.
Click on the Network Controller device in the device manager and post the hardware ID for it, so I can figure out who makes it and then I will post the link to the W7 wifi driver you need.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

Without that information, it will be impossible for me or anyone else to assist you.

Hi:
The hardware ID you posted is for the ethernet (wired) adapter.
Here is the driver you need for that...download, unzip and run the setup application from the W7 driver at the link below...

i'm sorry about that, sending the wrong Hardware ID but there is no network controller in my device manager, this is how it looks:

I even followed the guide with the unknown device but the Hardware ID shows up as "USB/UNKNOWN"
I can send you a pic of that also to show you.

I see and thank you, my computer is not with in good shape, so basically this has to be the soul problem as to why no wireless adapters on my PC. I think i will probably get this looked at then and get it fixed, or replace it if necessary.
thank you for your consideration in helping me with this issue

Youre very welcome.
I thought of one other thing you can try to get the wifi adapter to show up.
Install the HP connection manager software, restart the PC, and see if you can turn on the wifi by using the software controls.

If that doesn't work, then it is definitely a wifi hardware issue of some kind.
