I upgraded to Windows 10 well over a year ago with no issues however, the October update has caused me the same issue. Bluetooth seems to have vanished despite working with Windows 10 for at least 12 months. My HP pavilion g6 was manufactured in late 2011 but does not seem to be supported any longer. Can anyone recommend a source for a Bluetooth driver update that will rejuvinate the bluetooth for me?

Thanks for responding,

As per the driver page, your PC has drivers available up to Windows 8. For Windows 10, you need to wait for Microsoft to release the Windows updates for your PC,

Or, I would suggest yo reinstall original operating system using HP Recovery Media.

To order media, you could follow the steps from the link: Click here

Cheers!

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Flower_Bud is at your service.

As I understand, you're looking for Bluetooth drivers for your notebook,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Did you check for the drivers from the HP Support Assistant?

You could install drivers from HP Support Assistant:

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon .
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

  4.

  5. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  6. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  7. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also, all the drivers for your computer now will be provided through windows updates as HP doesn't have drivers for Windows 10.

Let me know,

Cheers!

Hi Flower_Bud,

Thanks for taking the trouble to respond. The HP support assistant on my PC does not seem to function, it goes  through the motions of looking for updates but has not updated for over a year (possibly since moving to windows 10). The HP support site does not seem to support PCs from before 2013 and I could find no windows 10 drivers at all, as you say. I have tried (with the help of an HP online engineer) installing windows 7 drivers again but they have not sorted the issue (Windows 8 drivers also were no help).

The lap top is an HP Pavilion G6 1210sa Notebook Product A3S73EA#ABU with an Atheros Radio Model  AR5895-H .Bluetooth chip.

I have tried searching the Windows website but again cannot find anything suitable for my HP machine. The HP engineer suggested resetting the Bios to factory settings but I am not confident about the system rebooting after this.

Hope you can add extra help. Regards, John
