I am also having the same problems as everyone else here. I have
HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eh3009na
It's been like this since day one!
I first thought the internet or router was playing up and dismissed it.
I have an ASUS router AC RT87u it's been absolutely rock solid until this laptop came along.
After life events getting in the way I have hardly used the laptop since purchasing just under a year ago.
Everytime I would open the laptop from sleep or from starting after shutdown, as soon as the wifi connects, my router reboots and all devices get temporarily cut off until it's rebooted. Once rebooted it generally seems to last until laptop either goes to sleep or close the lid, but quite frequently clicking on a link in edge browser from the first home screen seems to reboot the router again. Try it yourself. Look at a few news stories on edge home screen and after a few links watch the router reboot. My wife has recently started using this laptop more and its driving her crazy, constantly rebooting the router while just browsing. Today, i decided enough was enough and started to go down the rabbit hole, looking for that needle in a haystack. After finding this info here, im relieved to see, that its not just me with this issue. I too, suspected it may be a power setting issue, as many laptops in the past, usually have problems with hibernation/suspend options enabled. Certain devices re-awakening always seem to have issues in my experience. The part I do not understand is why opening new links in edge or chrome can sometimes cause the same problem. To me its almost like the network adapter is flooding the router with traffic and the router automatically reboots in desperation. I am certain this is a driver issue that unfortunately has been overlooked and needs investigation. It would be a real shame to have to ask HP for a replacement laptop with a different network card under warranty, just because of this. As it stands this laptop has been everything I wanted and was very pleased with it, but the Realtek network issue badly lets it down. I will now look to find some Realtek drivers that work with this adapter, but not from HP, this might be handy to all of us. If everyone experiencing this issue please report this to HP and do not get fobbed off with automated answers. They made it, we bought it, it's not fit for purpose, repair or replace.
