I have the hp 250 G7 notebook, I tried everything still doesn’t work. I have the exact issue as you. I tried to install the adapter again too, still doesn’t work, any other ways? Thanks

You're very welcome.
The one I bought, which looks the same as the one I posted, had the drivers in a folder.
In other words when you plugged it in, it acted like a USB flash drive and there were driver exe files you clicked on to install the drivers.
Never saw anything like it.
It basically has the same specs as far as throughput as the RTL8821CE card your notebook has now.

The 250 G7 uses a totally different and newer Wi-Fi adapter than the Broadcom model.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if updating the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version HP has for the Realtek Wi-Fi adapter helps any.

thank you, yeah, i tried installed all the ones i can find on HP support website for the one you had for Realtek RTL8821ce 802.11ac PCIe Adapter. none of them changes anything. my problem is sligtly different. I can have good internet connection if i stand right next to the router, but if i move just 2 meters away the connection become really weak. I have a few other laptops, iphone, ipad, none of these devices have this problem.

Under the circumstances, it may be a hardware issue with the Realtek RTL8821CE Wi-Fi adapter if that is the model your notebook has.
Since that model Wi-Fi adapter only needs one antenna wire to work, you're limited to replacing the RTL8821CE with this model that also only needs one antenna wire to work:
Realtek Wi-Fi 6 RTL8852BE-VS + Bluetooth 5.3 HP Part # N26166-005
You may be able to find the above model card on eBay.UK.
Search by the HP part number.
Since that model card was not listed as an option for the 250 G7 model series, I cannot 100% guarantee it will work, but I don't know of any reason why it wouldn't.
Of course, your other option would be to use a dual band USB Wi-Fi adapter.

thank you so much for looking all these information for me. I just wonder if it is the adapter failed why it still can connect to the wifi perfectly if i am close to the rooter? this problem only appears when i move a little far from it. Would it will completely not being able to link to wifi at all if adapter is broken?

It's hard to say.
It may be something as simple as the antenna wire has come loose.
It is also possible the antenna wire has broken near the hinge from opening and closing the lid over time.
It would probably be difficult to see a broken antenna wire, but it should be easy to see if the antenna wire came off the Wi-Fi card's antenna terminal.
In that case, replacing the Wi-Fi card would not be of any help.

You're very welcome.
An antenna wire issue could be a possibility then.
If you take a look at the display assembly removal and replacement procedure, working in that area may have disturbed the antenna wire.
How about the Bluetooth connection?
Does that work more than 2 meters away?
BT reception should range at least 7 - 10 meters away (20 - 30 feet).
If both the Wi-Fi and BT reception are not any good, that would seem to indicate that something has happened to/with the antenna wire.
I'd find it hard to believe that the latest W11 drivers don't work for both the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth radios on the Wi-Fi card.

Thank you so much for suggestion trying the Bluetooth. As i am currently using Bluetooth mouse and keyboard so close to the laptop that i didn't notice this issue. after you mentioned it, i tried the my airpods with it. yeah, the Bluetooth connection was even worse, i can't get further than 1 meter and had to face directly to the laptop, even i sit next to it, if i till my head another direction the connect will be disturbed badly.
thank you so much for taking your time looking into this and asking me to try different things. I think i will get it open tomorrow to check the connection of the wireless LAN module first, if the connection is good, then probably need to replace it. does it sound right?

You're very welcome.
Hopefully, the antenna wire is off at the Wi-Fi card.
That's what I'm hoping the problem is.
Then you just reattach the wire's connector to the card.
If it's broken near where the display meets the hinge, it may be much harder to detect, and that would be a lot of work to diagnose and to replace the entire antenna wire is a lot of work.
I wouldn't buy a new card until I was sure the antenna wire was fine.
Here is the latest W11 Bluetooth driver for the Realtek card:
Realtek RTL8xxx Series Bluetooth Driver
1.9.1051.3011
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp153001-153500/sp153275.exe
I use a dual band Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter like this one. It works on W11 too.
It's small and hardly sticks out of the USB port.
