I recently updated my laptop (Envy 360 Convertible) and lost my internet connect/ ethernet related.
After troubleshooting, the following was detected
- Realtek adapter was experiencing driver / hardware related problems
- problem with wireless adapter or access point
- a network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken
i checked the ethernet cable/router and unplugged everything and restarted it all again. No issue there as other laptops in the house were connected to the route/wi-fi so i realised it must be something wrong with the machine or a driver related issue. I also noticed the wi-fi tab no longer appeared on my network settings and i couldn't find a way to connect to internet or hotspots.
