HP NOTEBOOK 15r202tx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello,

my Notebook has been experiencing increasing problems of wifi connection recently and I'm now unable to connect to the internet. Troubleshooting attempts managed to get the wifi back for a few days but it seems to be now powerless as it says "Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn Wireless Network adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems". It worked again for a few hours today and I'm now back to no wifi despite troubleshooting and restarting laptop, router etc. Would you have any clue of how I could sort this out?

Many thanks for your help!

Sumeet

Hi, Sumeet:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if updating the wifi driver to a newer version helps...

Hello Paul

You're very welcome.

Run the driver and it will automatically create a driver folder in C:\SWSetup\sp#####.

You do not need to do anything or change directories.

Once the exe creates the driver folder, installation will begin automatically.

Hi, Sumeet:

Sorry that was a short lived fix.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other ideas you can try.

It is possible the wifi card is failing and needs to be replaced, and there is no way to test it other than to replace it and hope the replacement card works.

If you want, you can also try backing up any files you need to keep and reinstall W8.1 and see if that fixes the problem.
