I am using the latest version of HP support assistant and I am running the latest version of Windows 10 Home edition. All of my Windows updates are done, and this is now the second day in a row that I have used the support assistant, and I didn’t realize what happened yesterday, because I wasn’t paying attention to the laptop while the updates were installing, however, today I was.
It is attempting to install a Realtek WiFi driver of some sort, unfortunately I don’t have the exact name, as my computer is now restoring back to a recovery point, but is anyone else having this issue. Also, there is a wireless button that continuously fails to install as well.

You're very welcome.
You're not kidding!
Especially when a BIOS update decides to install while you are in the middle of working on your PC!
As long as the older driver from 3/22/19 works, I guess you are good to go.
If Microsoft is pushing unwanted driver updates, then you may be able to hide it by using the Hide windows update utility.

Use the version for 1607, since it is the latest one.

If all is up-to-date, does Support Assistant need to run?

Hi, @RKelley2019
The only suggestion I can offer if the HPSA is downloading drivers and causing issues, would be to go into the support assistant settings menu, and set it to notify you of updates, and you select if and when to download and install them.
BTW...the latest W10 wifi driver for the model wifi adapter your notebook comes with, is this one...
2024.0.10.103/2024.0 Aug 22, 2019
This package contains the DCHU driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8188EE, RTL8723BE, RTL8723DE, RTL8821CE, RTL8822BE andRTL8822CE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook and desktop models running a supported Windows 10 or Windows 10 Cloud operating system.

Hello,
Thanks for your quick response, and for your assistance! That is the driver that I attempted to install, and both times, it failed, and basically wiped out my wifi altogether. I just went to the recovery point, before installing the updated driver. I am currently using the driver from 3/22/2019 version 2024.0.4.108 Realtek RTK8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter, with no issues. For now, I am going to stick with this one. Also, now I am running into an issue where the HP Support Assistant isn't finding any updates at all, and I know for a fact that I didn't install all of the ones that were available this morning, because I didn't have any way to without the WiFi issue being rectified, first.

Also, in regards to changing the option of whether or not it installs the updates automatically, I had already changed that, and always make it a point to , on any Windows machine, as you and I are both aware, that sometimes updates can be more of a headache, than a help, when they roll them out too fast without first testin them thoroughly enough, in my opinion.
Thanks again!

So I have fixed the issue with the driver, I just decided not to update it, and I bought the adapter that picks up the 5G signal, as well as the 2G Signal.......all of my windows updates are up to date, however, I am downloading the HP support assistant, directly from the HP website, and it is not working properly, I know this because for one, after I run an updates check, it says last check ran: never, and also, the version is the older version, not the latest one, they show on the site, and when I click about, and check for updates, it states that I am running the latest version....any ideas??

Glad your wifi is working.
The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if uninstalling the HPSA, restarting the PC and then reinstalling it from the dedicated HPSA page works.

It appears that there are two different versions in the same file, and your PC must get whichever one that is supported for the hardware your PC has.
If you mouse over the orange download link, you will see this...
Version 9.5.353.0/8.8.24.33
