Hi there!
I am in a pickle. I recently reinstalled win 7 from win 10 and lost some drivers.
I used the hp downloads for most drivers but I cannot seem to get the WIFI adapter. I have no option but to use my Ethernet Cable to get online.
Any help would be great!. I downloaded the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller using this info:
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_166F103C&REV_05
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_166F103C
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_020000
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_0200
But no WIFI option.
Please help! Thanks

You're very welcome, Gavin.
If there isn't a device labeled as a network controller under an Other devices category in the device manager, the wifi card is most likely no good.
Try removing and reseating the adapter. Sometimes the contacts get oxidized, which breaks the electrical connection.
Remove the battery and A/C connection when working inside the PC.
Leave the antenna cables connected to the card to facilitate an easier reinstallation.
Below is the link to the service manual. The HP support site is not working, so I had to get it from a 3rd party website.
