I have had issues connecting to the internet for years using the internal Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 card. To get around it, I've been using wireless dongles. I'd like to free up my USB port and the only way I can do that is to replace the 2230 card. What is the recommended replacement card for it? This laptop is 7 years old but still runs like a champ. I need a card that fits, supports 5G and Miracast.

Hi:
What is the full model number of your notebook?
If it is a dv7-7xxx Intel model, then you can upgrade to this card...
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001
The card is readily available on eBay or Amazon.
Search by the HP part number, not by the model number of the wireless card.
